Chandra Mahal Haveli, one of the best heritage hotels in Rajasthan was built in the year 1840  by Afzal Hussain (???). This haveli reflects the grandeur and magnificence of Mughal architecture.

The haveli has a rich history behind it as it was visited by the Mughal Nobles and the local rulers in the olden days. According to the local legend, the area of the hotel that is now the Bar, was once an extravagant display of Hussain's riches, with the "Naulakha Haar" (An expensive golden necklace with 9 strands and embedded with pearls, diamonds and emeralds), hung on the central pillar. This are in the later decades later became the courtroom, where in all important cases of the region was adjudged.

Restored painstakingly by Amritara Hotels, this haveli retains a lot of its old world charm while at the same time having all the modern amenities that is a necessity to today’s traveller.
